This octagonal building has a ziggurat-like, stair-stepped top with lighting, which accentuates the building at night. Completed in 1991, the building is 428 ft (130m) tall and offers 544,000 leasable square feet, including 10,500 square feet of upscale retail facilities. Ten levels of structured parking provide over 1,200 on-site parking spaces. 1100 Peachtree is one of several buildings built in a period during which Atlanta architects created ornate and dramatically lit “wedding-cake” skyscraper tops. 1100 Peachtree received the EPA “Energy Star” designation in 2000, the first high-rise in Atlanta to earn the rating.
