Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Client: 1180 Peachtree
1180 Peachtree, located in Midtown Atlanta, is a 41-story office tower developed by Hines and completed in February 2006. 1180 Peachtree is the first high-rise office building in the southeastern United States to receive a Gold certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Core & Shell rating system.
The office tower contains several green features, including a unique water-management system using captured and stored rainwater and condensate from the building’s mechanical system to provide 100 percent of the project’s irrigation water, circumventing the need for city water for irrigation.
ATS Waypoint’s commissioning team provided commissioning services for the prerequisites LEED’s Core and Shell requirements.
