The Meadows Regional Medical Center is a 194,000 sqft state‐of‐the‐art medical center that opened in 2009. The entire hospital is wired with a next‐generation IT infrastructure. It is ready to accommodate the future with the ability to add another floor if community needs dictate additional patient care or services. The original medical center was established in 1963 on 22 acres of land donated by A. H. Meadows, the son of the first physician in Toombs County, John M. Meadows, MD. ATS Waypoint installed an Alerton control system to control the chiller plant, boiler plant, air handling units, hot water VAV boxes, fire smoke damper status, isolation rooms, pharmacy fume hoods, operating room pressure, and lighting.
